Wine Tour of Westbury: A Taste of the Wine Country

Westbury, New York, November 23, 2019 – The New York Wine and Spirits Commission (NYWS) is hosting its fourth annual Wine Tour at Westbury Park, an outdoor amphitheater with a view of Manhattan.

In 2018, the Westbury Wine and Food Festival hosted a large wine tasting at the Westfield Hotel and Casino.

The NYWS will host the 2017 Westbury Festival in the city’s Central Park.

In 2019, the NYWS is hosting the West Coast Wine & Food Festival at Westfield’s Central Parks and Tennis Courts.

The NYWS also hosts the annual Wine Festival at the Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Tickets for the Westgate Festival are $40 each and are available online at or by calling (800) 988-2850.

In 2017, the New York City Wine and Spirit Commission (NWSCC) awarded Westbury the New England Wine Capital of the Year, an award that recognizes the city for its excellence in the wine industry and in the area’s diverse and growing wine culture.

“The Westbury festival provides an opportunity for all New Yorkers to experience wine in a unique and welcoming way, in a place where they can also learn about the history and culture of the region,” said NYWS Commissioner Robert B. Lauterborn.

Westbury is one of four Wine Tour locations in the US: New Haven, Conn.; San Francisco; and Napa, Calif.

The Westbury Parks and Gardens, located in the historic downtown area, has a beautiful park-like setting, including a large park with walking paths and picnic areas, as well as the Westwood Park Wine and Tea Garden.

In 2018, Westbury’s annual Wine & Beer Festival drew about 8,000 visitors, a record for the event.

Other Wine & Spirits Festival locations are: The Village of Westwood in Connecticut; the Rock Island Lakes in Illinois; and the Westwoods Wine Festival in North Carolina.
